A bothy is a basic shelter, left unlocked and free of charge for anyone to use. These forms of shelter are found in Isolated areas of the U.K. The Landscapes where these shelters are situated fulfil a need in the modern day to be isolated and at peace in nature; a concept that seems to be slipping from our grasp in the bombardment of daily life and technological access. This project explores and documents these ideas within Bothy Culture.
